Echo in the room

Our bedroom has carpet, two solid exterior walls, and two drywall walls. Unfortunately, the room echoes a lot. The bed is under a slanting ceiling, there is a three-meter-long but shallow dresser, and a green plant. Ceiling height 235cm. The walls are not wallpapered. Do you have any ideas on how to reduce the echo? We already have curtains... Best regards, Yvonne

how about a large photo printed on canvas on one of the walls?

If that alone is not enough, you can fill the space between the picture/frame and the wall with foam.

That’s how we wonderfully eliminated the echo effect in our former open-plan office...

That is a good idea! Thank you, because there are no pictures hanging on the walls yet (TV doesn't muffle the echo...)
