Well... I'll ask precisely now. How long, how many months or even years has it been there? And if you remove it, what is the insulation like? Dry, damp, moldy? I think you are too afraid of it. But please tell me.
It would have been enough to glue the foil to the floor. Especially, how is the foil supposed to get to the floor below, normally the ceiling rests on the masonry.
There is no masonry, but a wooden beam ceiling. The vapor barrier should therefore have been installed downward before the floorboards were fastened there. Should have, would have, could have........ That was about 8 months ago. Since no one lives inside yet and there isn’t even any heating running, nothing further should have happened.
The detailed planning would be interesting here as well.
I love dry humor. Detailed planning, that was a good one.
I haven't followed the other thread, but do individual builder wishes meet a standard house in your construction?
There are actually hardly any who haven't followed it until they suddenly disappeared shortly before a thousand posts. As a reminder: the thread 31945 (GU stops work despite overpayment) was about a semi-detached house that the OP wanted to build for her adult children. In the process, (by GU 2, the butcher ?) the man can almost say hat-trick was achieved, in my opinion, by holding non-existent detailed plans the wrong way round and, I believe, routing the sink drain into the wall bending to the left instead of the right.

It is still the question whether at all and if so how it will continue with this general contractor. For both possibilities, there are lawyer-coordinated documents. The contractor is delaying his decision until he knows what else is hidden behind the drywall.
