Dream of a house: realistic or just daydreaming?

A very good evening,

I have been thinking for some time about fulfilling the dream of owning my own home. However, there are some factors that make me somewhat doubt how realistic that actually is, or up to what amount I could go, if at all.

Here are the conditions: I am 40, single, and therefore plan to handle the entire financing on my own, also in the future. No children, equity of 100k, current income ~4200, an increase of 15% in the next 3 years very likely.

My ancillary costs are very low; my employer pays for my car/phone completely. What is important to me is a nice garden; the house can be smaller, since I am alone. I could save quite a bit on the interior fittings.

So, now I would like to have your opinion/assessment.... should I really do it, or better leave it?

Regards

Where should the house be? How big... and what should it cost in the end? With the equity and the income, one can finance a single-family house.

Where then?
What do you want to spend?
How big and which equipment?
Plot available?

Sure, that's possible, but why build a house as a single person? Either it has a good size for one person, but you have to move out when a partner and children come, or it is way too big for one person alone. How do you plan that in the medium term? As the previous speakers said, mention a few details of your project.

Bedroom, living room, office and for that matter a hobby room as well. That would already correspond to a 4-room apartment. Too big for a single person, too small for me as a family, which is why I have set my sights on a house.
