Cistern would be the easiest. It's probably an above-ground pool anyway, which are usually quite small. Otherwise, the infrastructure would be different…

no, it is not an above-ground pool, it is a normal, "in-ground" pool :)

so maybe to clarify the question once again: what is being sought is a kind of closed (airtight) channel cover for outdoor use at the pool, which leads via a pipe into the sewer and is suitable for draining the pool using a submersible pump. A preliminary note for explanation: at the moment, the friend is pumping the water into a sewer shaft by the basement entrance (outdoor area), but this will no longer exist after the new construction.

thanks anyway to everyone so far for your inputs!

What is being newly built? The pool or the house? The best solution is simply to connect the pool technology to the sewer using KG or HT pipes. Either lay the existing sewer connection at the basement exit during the new construction or just dig around the house. In a new building, the outdoor area is affected anyway. This way, the filter can flush directly into the sewer. With a Besgo rod valve, this can also be automatic. A submersible pump is not necessary at all if the pool has floor drains. But you could also make a branch with a ball valve and hose connection between the waste outlet and the sewer. This way, you could also connect an additional submersible pump. However, a direct connection of the filter technology to the sewer should definitely be made.

Laying a KG pipe to the pool, - a normal cover for closing - a second cover in which the hose is fastened and sealed via a rain barrel outlet.
