Hello,

we have now decided on a double carport with a shed, as our floor plan does not allow a garage directly on the house (windows).

Since our neighbor has already built a garage on our boundary, we would like to build a 6x9m carport between his garage and our house.

The advantage would be that, except for the shed, we could do without side walls and thus the vehicles would be optimally protected.

The shed should have the full width of 6m, with a depth of at least 3m and each a door to the carport as well as to the garden and possibly a small window.

Has anyone of you realized something like this?

Is there a provider possibly in the [Niedersachsen] area who offers something like this completely?

Thank you very much in advance for your answers!

You are only allowed to build 9 m per boundary. You have already reached that with your carport. The shed would be another 3 m, if I understand that correctly, and the shed is supposed to be behind the carport. Or are both together 9 m long?

Both together should be 9m long. Border development is allowed up to max. 6x9m for us!

Yes, sure... almost all carport providers, whether wood or aluminum, can make that happen for you, e.g. Siebau, ESB, Brüning, Balzer ...

There are currently only 2 providers listed in the directory. I would also be interested in the experience of individual builders. We had something like that in mind as well, but we've always heard amounts around 15k; for that, you can already buy a prefabricated garage. Since the shed of the carport usually also rests on the concrete-embedded H-anchors, the space is not particularly suitable as a workshop (air underneath allows mice, rats, cats, etc. to enter).

Can I now place the carport including the shed with a total size of 6m x 9m directly on the boundary and next to my house? The neighbor says I must keep at least 50cm distance to my house, or ensure fire protection with a T30 door (garage regulation). Who knows about this? How much space do I have to leave between his garage and my house to make this allowed? Should 6m not be enough? I would rather not leave unnecessary space between the house and the carport...
