Hello everyone,
I have a short but very important question for us:
We want a tiled stove on the exterior wall on the ground floor (building on a slope), and the architect is now planning the external stainless steel chimney to go all the way down to the basement or cellar. However, this restricts us a lot – an entire balcony door would have to be removed because of this.
My question: Is it necessary for the chimney to extend all the way down, or can it start only at the stove on the ground floor?
Thank you very much for your answers, I would like to have appropriate arguments ready when I speak with the architect tomorrow.
