Hello,

I am a student and am considering buying a one- or two-room apartment, which is ultimately cheaper than renting. However, I have concerns about getting a loan from the bank. Would I get a loan amounting to [20 000 €]?

hi!

you can't say that directly
basically, as a student you would get such a loan if it's backed by a real asset, like the apartment mentioned
it's of course about the equity share that you contribute yourself and some other things, like your history with the bank

where do you live that you could get a one-room or two-room apartment for 20,000?

Getting a loan in this amount is not unrealistic, but it is also not mandatory or a must. You might need to do some persuasion to appease the bank.

I live in the beautiful Rheinland-Pfalz, there a one-room apartment or possibly also a two-room apartment costs around 20,000 €.

that is really tough, since I live in Innsbruck and already for a garconniere, with 40 square meters, around 60,000 euros and rising...

I'll just buy an apartment where you are... what does the price development look like for the future?

I would be happy if you come to our rural Kaiserslautern in Rheinland-Pfalz. The trend is declining, as many Americans are now moving away and thus prices will drop significantly.
