If you want to design something different, you can also get MDF 22mm and thicker at the timber trade. It’s quite easy to sand the edges by hand and then paint (or have it painted) as you like. There are also red and black dyed MDF boards or the aforementioned multiplex; all are additional options for such boards in the bathroom, kitchen, etc.

Unfortunately nothing arrived. But strangely I can no longer send PMs either, as I supposedly have too few posts, even though I have written some in the past. This forum is always strange.

Thank you for the pictures and tips! That really looks great. One from Ikea is also among my favorites. And another one that I really want, but it is quite expensive.

But I am getting more and more frustrated with the washbasin situation. I know exactly what I want, and I’m confident I can buy the components, but I don’t trust myself to mount something like that on the wall. I keep posting on MyHammer that I’m looking for someone to screw the two washbasins to the wall and make the connections, but I can’t find anyone. Even our plumber from the construction site says he can’t do it because of warranty rights and because he would then be liable. I said I would waive that, but he said no matter what I signed, they would still be liable.

Now I don’t know what to do. I’m already considering returning the sink I bought and just getting some run-of-the-mill one from the general contractor, just so we have something on the wall. :/

Take a look at [ebay-kleinanzeigen] or call a janitor service etc. You will find someone who will hang that thing up, it’s not rocket science for a craftsman. "Sanitary person on the construction site warranty???" Oh dear... either you gave him the wrong number or he is just stupid, sorry. Don’t get discouraged, you will find someone; living your whole life looking at an ugly sink is just not an option!! And what if you just put it on a board with nice metal legs instead of screwing it to the wall?

It’s too low to be placed free-standing. The Favorit is relatively small, only 50 cm high. It would also look nicer on the wall.

I didn’t give the plumber any number at all, I asked him what he would want if I wanted to commission him to do it.
I’ve often heard that most companies reject jobs with external materials. I can still try eBay Classifieds if all else fails. But there I just don’t have reviews from previous clients. Whether I trust just "anyone" more than myself to drill into my nice bathroom tiles, I don’t know. :/
