...and that could also be seen differently. At least one hole in the wall with control electronics and an EC fan in every room... versus a box in the basement, with one control electronics and two large fans (supply/exhaust air)... to me, the latter sounds less complex. Everything else is maintenance-free, except for the filters. And in the central case, you change them with a few simple steps in one place, whereas in the decentralized case you have to walk through the whole house...

And earlier above there was already a question about where the microbial contamination should come from. This question is still open and I would be very interested as well [emoji4]

...the ventilation system in a house is just as much or as little complex as the one in a car.

Only that is established and accepted by everyone!

Here too, I set the temperature once, in our case 22° all year round and I don't set it higher, the workshop changes the filters at intervals and that's that.

Why people resist so much when building a house is beyond my knowledge...

The additional costs of about €10,000 without savings effect.. Things like a huge garage are simply more important there.

A saving effect may be very individual to consider. Just as a suggestion: the time I save by not having to ventilate myself is available to me as free time and offers me a lot of tangible comfort - for me almost priceless, so maximum saving effect.

Furthermore: 2 people, both employed -> no chance to manually ventilate for the minimum air exchange. Saving effect: no worries about mold due to controlled residential ventilation, so it CAN really pay off quickly in case of damage.

For us therefore priority: mold protection, comfort.... energy recovery is actually not our motivation, but we take it with us because without it somehow feels half-baked for us...

Such a huge garage obviously has a savings effect!

Everyone of course builds for themselves and as they want...
