1. Dismantle the window and roller shutter box 2. Brick up (KS) and anchor it to the side walls as much as possible. There are suitable brackets for this. 3. Perform sealing 4. Plaster inside, insulation and plaster and sealing (seal slurry) outside Now here comes a very interesting question. Will everything be backfilled afterwards? Then the insulation should be partially removed so that you can connect the sealing to the white one. Nobody does concrete work. You will not get a qualified answer for that here or in other forums.

Thank you very much for the nice response, then it will be filled up. Why should no one pour concrete? If I have a wall, I have quite a few joints through which moisture could potentially penetrate.

Why? Because it’s a huge effort to cast a former window as a new waterproof concrete shell: - Install reinforcement into the surrounding walls - Treat the joints. How do you achieve a tight seal to the surrounding walls? - How do you pour the concrete? Pouring from above doesn’t work. - This is craftsmanship, which is very expensive By the way, did you read that I also mentioned the point “sealing”? Masonry basements are totally normal. And a seal on top of that, whether KMB or reactive sealing, is state of the art. No water gets through that. So no, there are no joints. That is then an affordable and common routine 08/15 job to close an opening with masonry.

Sorry for the late reply and thank you very much. I was just thinking of tapering a sort of funnel up to above the window lintel and pouring at the window level. Then grinding off the excess. KS do you mean sand-lime brick? Thanks

One more question, how am I supposed to get the last row of stones up to the window lintel? It won't work with normal mortar.
