Descaling system - Calcium & Magnesium increase sodium content

Ours regenerates once a week or after 4500l consumption. Whichever comes first.

Of course, we also have a relatively large system. So I can fill 100 KG of salt into the container there...

Does that also play a role?

Sounds a bit oversized. My Grünbeck holds 35kg and is designed for four people.

This thing is intended for large multi-family houses. For a single-family house, it is vastly oversized; the capacity of the system is not even remotely utilized. A 25kg bag of regeneration salt should last at least half a year, more likely three-quarters of a year. In terms of operating costs, it may not exactly break the bank for you, but it can be much, much more economical and efficient. I would say that with a properly designed system, you can reduce the costs to 1/10 of the current amount. You can calculate yourself when the investment will pay off.

Those were also my first thoughts. My system has about only one third of the amount of resin and is more than sufficient for 4 people.

Who comes up with the idea to slap something like that onto a single-family house?

A relative works at the manufacturing company and gets the system at a very good price. That's why I thought, better to have than to need! But I didn't expect it to be so oversized...
