If you set the system to an output water hardness of 3-5 dh, everything is fine! Both for the body and for the pipes

You should never soften to 0 dh!

Salt requirement depends on your input water. We soften from 23 dh to 4 dh and need just under 25 KG of salt per month. That means salt costs under 10€.

I have never dealt with the electricity costs. They are definitely worth the added value!

Oh my goodness! Something is definitely wrong. That's crazy. We need 1 to 2 bags per year and soften from 24 to 7 dh.

I just have my Grünbeck app open: we had 4500l of softened water in October and needed 3.3kg of salt for it. We soften from 23 to 4. so either you need 40 cubic meters of water per month - or your system is not properly adjusted.

The system regenerates automatically, usually once a day for us. It is a Judosoft.

All nonsense with sauce. The sodium content does not increase that much. If you are concerned, you can run an extra pipe to the kitchen without water softening. This is common practice and also has a significant advantage: the water tastes far better than softened water.

I would have thought it tastes better too, unfortunately ours is basically none of the tasty ones ☹️

Our system regenerates once a week or after 4500 liters of consumption, whichever comes first.

Of course, we also have a relatively large system. So I can fill 100 KG of salt into the container...

Does that also play a role?
