That would also be a feasible option (if you do not want to use the basement, but merely not dig it out).

If something like that is possible, that would of course be great and the thing I can most easily imagine if the basement is no longer usable.
Exactly, they went down without a folding rule. I hope that behind the wall is the stacked million in bills.
But it's also an idea to measure it first :D

If you don’t want/need the basement it should be possible. We still have the wall of the slurry pit under the kitchen and parts of the Gewöllbe basement under the driveway.

A completely different question than the basement: Have you already checked how the houses are connected? In this period, it was very common not to build "side by side" as is done today, meaning statically independent, but rather virtually one single house, with a real party wall, etc. Tearing down one half of it would be interesting anyway.

Yes, that is probably the case here as well.
At least for the neighbors, it was only one wall.

Is there a development plan? Often, the roof pitch of the other half of the house must not be deviated from. As the existing structure also shows. I would rather consider an extension and conversion.
