Delayed start of construction. Company is not responding

I, however as a non-lawyer, would try to get out of the contract cheaply or for free. If the (two) companies are already starting like this, I assume that the trouble will not end and they will also not fulfill their other obligations. However, this is only my subjective, limited, and pessimistic point of view, as the company/companies are not acting constructively. And if they get upset, they might just slap something together for you.

As a non-lawyer, one should also follow the correct procedure, which requires comprehensible written communication and setting a deadline. The consequence is then the termination of the contract, from which it is difficult to get out without this formal communication.

Yes, you are obviously right. I assumed that the "exit" would be regulated in a legally watertight manner.

The question is whether this is really advantageous for us. We still want to build a house. Some money has already been spent. Even the first installment to the company for planning, applications, etc. has already been transferred... I don't see how the withdrawal from our contract helps. Our hope is to apply some pressure so that it finally gets started.....
