Hello!
Our house-building company constructs the walls as an external thermal insulation composite system with 17.5 cm Poroton masonry and 16 cm Styrofoam. Instead of the 17.5 cm Poroton, you can also get 24 cm Poroton bricks for an additional 3,500 euros, which would actually only be necessary from a much larger house size.
Should one choose the 24 cm thick bricks because of the property's value retention, the lifespan, possibly ecological reasons, and sound insulation, or are 17.5 cm thick bricks sufficient? The downside would be losing about 4 square meters of living space due to the thicker wall and, of course, they cost a bit more.
Thanks + best regards,
Marc
