Hello everyone,

electrical question.

I have 3 lamps which I want to switch from 3 locations.
So a crossover circuit.

There are switches with two toggles. Can I realize such a circuit with only 2 switches?

1 x switch with two toggles and
1 x switch with one toggle

?

Or do the switches with two toggles no longer work if you have a crossover/three-way switch?
The point is to save one switch. Or do I indeed need 3 switches.

Regards!

Yes, it should work. However, the [Serienschalter] (the one with the two toggles) cannot then be your [Kreuzschalter] but functions as a normal changeover switch. [Kreuzschaltung] means 2 changeover switches, 1 [Kreuzschalter].

There are three positions. One position is just about 3cm away from the other...

Ok thanks, I think I've understood it then.

The crucial point was that one of the changeover switches is simply a 2-rocker series switch.

Thanks

Hmm, I'm at a loss. Do you want to switch 3 lights simultaneously from 3 locations? Or 2 lights + 1 light from 2 locations? What does the [Serienschalter] have to do with this?

I have 3 lights and 3 places where I can switch all 3 lamps EACH.
