Hello,

since we live in a metropolitan area with rather expensive craftsmen, I would now like to tender the most expensive trades nationwide (including the new federal states). Does anyone of you have experience on how to do this? Are there any specific forums/marketplaces for this, besides that one hammer platform on radio and television?

How do others do it when they want to look for craftsmen nationwide?

Thanks in advance and best regards!

Hello,

Much more interesting: how do you want to handle the accommodation of the craftsmen, maintenance contracts, or warranty?

Rhenish greetings

It does not necessarily have to be the specialist company from Flensburg or Görlitz. Although they would also not be the first installers who have to find accommodation in a foreign city.

But why shouldn't a company from the Ruhr area, the Eifel, or the Westerwald with an hour's drive to the Rhineland be just as capable as the local company?

The warranty is certainly a valid point, but if the company is located within a 100 km radius and probably handles even more supraregional contracts... I would initially have little concern that their warranty is worse than that of the local village smith. Especially since the latter, in a supplier's market, does not have to stretch so much for new orders and probably prefers to spend his time on the large construction site rather than dealing with minor issues and warranty. Or am I so wrong?

When I pass construction sites in new residential areas, I quite often see craftsmen's cars with license plates that definitely do not come from the region.

Good evening,

Your post doesn't come across that way to me; what you describe is everyday life.

I assume you only handled the building application with an architect? Have you ever inquired with a general contractor (GU/GÜ)? Where in NRW are you planning to build?

I don't mean "worse," but rather - due to the greater distance - in the worst case more complicated/unsatisfactory to coordinate ;)

Rhenish greetings

We have an architect, but he works with craftsmen from the Rheinland. However, we would like to outsource the most expensive trades outside (i.e. not Köln/Bonn).

I would also make that dependent on the trades, meaning how quickly the craftsman should be available in case of damage.
