You should take what Neige says to heart. We only have local craftsmen and still have to wait when there are defects.

That's how we know it too. The local craftsmen are fully booked and have no time for such small stuff... I also see no need to hire exactly the same craftsman in an emergency who was engaged during the construction. Who guarantees me that the company will still exist by then or won't be sold to someone else?

If you think like that, why do you even bother about [Gewährleistung]?

Do you mean me? I don’t worry about the warranty. If everything is fine at the acceptance, wonderful. If something happens 5 years later, the cards will probably be reshuffled anyway. But I don’t see any difference whether I argue with a craftsman 5, 50, or 100 km away.

Yes, of course I meant you.

I find it pretty harsh that people say you can just hire another company for small things.

It would never occur to me.

I am not referring to minor things, but the 1-2 most expensive trades. And what do you mean by "another company"? For me, it is about including companies beyond the usual radius in the wider area. I consider the repeatedly mentioned 50-100 km acceptable in a metropolitan area. But everyone has to decide that for themselves. My question was also not whether this is the majority opinion, but whether anyone already has experience on how to carry this out operationally (forums for tenders, etc.).
