Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum and have already tried the search function, but didn’t really find what I was looking for.

We have already found a developer and will either build with them this year or at the latest next year.

We already have a preliminary loan application running and have received very good conditions. However, this offer expires in 1 1/2 weeks. By then, we have neither signed the construction contract nor is the land that my parents are transferring to me divided (the notary contract is already done, but the survey will only be done after the construction contract is signed so that the surveyor and developer can communicate directly).

Now to my question:
Can we accept the loan offer even though no land can be provided yet and no construction contract has been signed? Can we submit the documents at short notice?

Best regards,
Anja

Basically, missing documents can be submitted later.
Is it worth it for you to finalize now????
Sometimes loan agreements include a clause to build (buy) within a certain period. You will definitely pay commitment interest, usually 0.25% per month! on the loan amount. That is not insignificant (250 for a 100,000 loan) and can be more than signing a possibly "worse" offer in half a year.

Thank you very much for your replies. The contribution exemption period would have been 12 months. We thought about this again over the long weekend and will let the offer lapse. My husband would have liked to sign, but for me the whole thing is too risky.

Best regards,
Anja
