The former exposes the latter as the word "revenge" expressed with German thoroughness. Even though I can understand that, I think it's better if you play the wiser one and just let your neighbor be an idiot. With your counter-report, you will only make him feel confirmed and look for more ways to screw you over. Otherwise: Have fun in court and with the psychiatrist.

Hello Meecrob,

Thank you for your input! Due to the background, I am currently gathering various topics to be able to counterargue and avoid the dismantling of the terrace. I was not the one who threw the first stone... now it’s just about having a good card up my sleeve for emergencies. I have even seriously thought about writing a book someday... maybe titled "Me and My Schizophrenic Neighbor"! If I were to list the incidents that have happened so far, it could really become a bestseller...

couldn't you put up a wooden wall / privacy screen at the separation between your terrace and the neighbor's terrace? then maybe the cigarette smoke won't come over so directly, you don't have to see them sitting on their terrace anymore, there's a bit more sound insulation, privacy, etc. we also had this issue back when we lived in a terraced house. but we had rather great neighbors, there were never any problems. a wooden wall was put up, we planted ivy and roses on it, and it looked great...
