Hello, since we have an L-shaped kitchen with a corner sink and slanted and crooked walls, we have taken advantage of the installation service for the countertop, which will come next Friday.

What exactly do the countertop guys do? Saw holes, fit the countertop, possibly fit slanted walls and cut accordingly...

They also have to move all the base cabinets into their final position, right?

Do they also cut the filler panels, or do they really only take care of the countertop and the appliance cutouts?

Hi,

it is difficult to say WHAT exactly you ordered. If only the installation of the board was actually ordered, a certain "amount" of work was also charged. So just fitting the countertop around the corner, possibly 2 cutouts, done. So maybe 2 hours of work. Fitting the boards is included. But, as silly as it sounds, the countertop also has to fit. If you have deviating angles or terribly crooked walls, the installers can or MUST refuse the installation. They have to guarantee their work, but that requires that they can also do their work under reasonable conditions. Moving base cabinets, building filler panels, aligning feet etc. is not part of a countertop service. There is now the possibility that they build your boards and finish. If you are lucky and the installers have no further customers after you, they could complete your additional installations for an hourly rate of 40€ per installer.

Regards

Nayla
