Hello,

I have received an offer from our construction company for the preparation of a carport:
- 12 point foundations 40x40x80 cm (WxDxH)
- approx. 1m drainage pipe (sewer/manhole is right next to it)
- removal of the excavated material not included
=> €4,050 gross
It should be mentioned that at the same time the connections and the floor slab for the house are being made, so the shell builder does not have to come separately just for the few holes.

Is it very naive that I expected about €1,000?
They just have to dig a few small holes additionally and pour about 1.5 m³ of concrete into the foundation holes when concreting the floor slab, right?

What costs would you consider realistic?

Best regards

We paid 150€/each for masonry arrow foundations. Sounds extremely expensive.

Ok, so I’m not the only one who feels that way.

800 plus tax garage foundations. Your 1000,- is realistic.

That your prices are more enviable than a reference, we have already established several times. But between 1,000 and 4,000 there is still a factor of 4 – incredible... I have to admit I am asking the question EVEN THOUGH I already found something using the search function: There, tabaluga paid 1,000€ for 5 point foundations and Uwe82 300€ per foundation. That was already 3 years ago and thus almost even more expensive than for me. But I just couldn't believe it and am glad that at least both of you agree with me. Well then, there will simply be no carport preparation for now. I'll surely find someone in our new development area over time who can dig the holes for me with a mini excavator. Formwork shouldn't really be necessary (?) or if need be, I can manage it myself. We're not in a hurry with the carport anyway. Whoever doesn't want to...

So you can do that yourself even with two left hands. And honestly, anyone who needs a [minibagger] for that should rather pay the 1000 euros.
