Come on, a double garage as a precast reinforced concrete garage, 6x6m with 2 sectional doors could actually work. It's just a simple standard with a touch of aesthetics.

With ancillary construction costs, it really depends on what is already included with the general contractor (if you are building with one). For us, all the earthworks and 80cm of ground fill were already included; for others, you might have to pay for all that separately. We have a total of significantly less than 20,000 euros in ancillary construction costs. However, we spent a lot during the sample selection, because the items that require an extra charge usually appeal the most. In addition to the approximately 1800 euros per sqm, there are still the painting work, the floor coverings, the kitchen, and of course all the work around the house.

we now have two offers for a strip foundation for a 3m wide garage. One for 5500 euros and the other for 6000 euros, I had actually imagined it to be a bit cheaper. If I add our garage price (Zapf) to this, then I am already at about 18000 euros and that is not a double garage.

Sabine, these offers are downright a robbery attempt. A whole garage in front of the door including foundation cost me 7, six times three, swing gate plus back door, without electrics, I had someone who could do it cheaper. The foundation of such a 6x3 garage consists of two small trenches in which you place shuttering blocks and fill them with concrete. The truck driver places it on them. Price 800,-. Nothing more.
