Hello

I wanted to ask again. & [Eckbadewanne]. In the contract we have enamel standard bathtub from a quality manufacturer. What could a 6 corner bathtub cost as an additional price?

Is a 6 corner bathtub with advantages and disadvantages?

Thank you

Hello,

The biggest disadvantage you create for yourself with a corner solution is inevitably the increased water consumption; corner bathtubs require more water until they are "bathtub-ready" full.

Next is the question of possible replacement. From experience, corner bathtub solutions are not kept in the respective manufacturers' range as long as standardized bathtubs. This means for you – for example, if the coating of the corner bathtub (children are not so gentle with environments they consider playgrounds) is damaged, it "might" be that you no longer get the installed model and have to switch to another model. As a rule, the substructure also has to be replaced.

We therefore recommend to our builders to reconsider the solution mentioned by "b0012sm". Depending on where and how the standard tub is placed in the bathroom, beautiful shelf surfaces result, which look very nice and visually come close to the effect of a corner tub solution. However, with the advantage that the tub – if necessary – can be replaced quickly and without much effort.

Rhenish regards

We managed it, but during a renovation as shown in the following picture: Costs: Bathtub on clearance 100.00 euros, corresponding bathtub support 380.00 euros. The corner is drywall and then tiled.

You can also do it this way... with a hexagonal tub you would have a point in the room... here in round or also square it is more harmonious

All a matter of taste

So we had a corner bathtub installed... and would do it again...

You simply have more space inside... a 300L tank is available, so no water problem... since we can use the tub at most once a week due to time reasons, the water consumption is also limited...

The manufacturer is a company that already existed in GDR times and the model is one they have been offering for decades, so I also see no problem when it comes to replacement...

I would be so happy to have one at all. Once or twice a year, when I am on vacation somewhere, I always look forward to it and draw myself a bath. But honestly, that's enough for the year!
