I always pull a protective tube over the entire length before laying such actions. Kinking is then almost completely excluded. Somehow I can sleep better that way,

That will probably be the reason why he doesn’t want to do it.

Yes, that's probably how it is. He would have to replace it completely and as far as I understand, that was already his second attempt anyway. At least there was another bent pipe of similar length in his vehicle... annoying for him. What am I supposed to do? If he says it's okay like that and doesn't want to change it. He is the master?! It is difficult for laypeople and builders with free allocation of trades.

But he does not have to sleep in that house. I would ask him to exchange it and, if he still refuses, threaten with the appraisal/evaluation by an independent expert. Take a look at the Association of Private Builders, they can also help you. Of course, something like that always costs money, but it also provides security.

If the witnesses swear it, then he was once a master. You can say a lot, including such big words as "is still within the norm" or the almost Old Testament killer phrase "we’ve always done it that way." That's why you shouldn’t evaluate his answer to your verbal question, but his answer to your photo documentation sent by registered mail with return receipt.
