The gas must go. Switch to the free renewable alternatives as quickly as possible. Heat pump is better since with photovoltaic electricity it's free.

Wait with the conversion. You won’t get a heat pump anyway for the winter 2022/23 and prices are currently at an absolute all-time high. My installer wants an extra EUR 15,000 if he replaces the ordered gas heating system with an air-to-water heat pump... Delivery period "possibly spring 2023... or end of 2023... I can’t tell you..."

Gas prices may be very high at the moment, but they won’t stay at 25 cents/kWh forever. If that happens, there’s nothing left to do here anyway, because the industry won’t survive that.

If you don’t believe that, at least wait until the chip crisis eases (mid/end 23)... whoever orders now buys at moon prices...

Prices will continue to rise. The [Nrieg] in Ukraine will not end anytime soon. Better to switch now than to pay much more later.

Maybe it got lost because gas prices are in focus.
A doubling of the electricity price is assumed for 2023...

And what should not be forgotten:
If you order today, you will get neither photovoltaics, nor a heat pump, and certainly not the special drilling for geothermal energy, not even this year.

You can also wait until things calm down again in 2023.

Who says it will relax?
I only see the prices going one way, one-way street, because everyone wants to switch to the good renewables now.

If you depend on craftsmen, it becomes difficult. The prices are high, but there are also alternatives. Currently, I am building my second photovoltaic system myself. I have received all the parts. From September, I will have 29.9 kWp. I also wanted to install the air heat pump myself. Good monoblock devices can be obtained for around €4500. Additionally, hot water storage and installation accessories. Overall, I expect costs of €7000 - €8000. Unfortunately, it is not eligible for BAFA funding, or can I at least deduct the purchase price? How many kW should the air-to-water heat pump have? My house has a heat requirement of just under 6 kW. Is a 5 kW enough, or should I take the 7 kW right away?
