Hello everyone,

what devices do I need for a conventional venetian blind control with wind sensor? What does such a circuit look like?

Maybe someone has already had experience with this?

Thanks!

Best regards

Well, the control unit of course and the wind monitor. What exactly is the question? :-)

How do I connect the wind sensor exactly to the venetian blinds? Do I need any isolation relays or anything else?

Look, for example, at the big E, there are diagrams shown for these controls. It is conceivable simple.

As far as I know, that depends a bit on the system. For example, you can buy a venetian blind switch from Busch, Gira, etc., install it in the respective room, and connect the wind sensor to the switch there. Then the control is entirely integrated into the switch. However, there are also controls from the venetian blind/wind sensor supplier, for example Warema Climatronic. In that case, the venetian blinds are connected to its control unit, and the switches branch off from there.

Edit:
Although I have to add that just for a larger number of venetian blinds with wind sensors, even a mini-KNX installation could be financially worthwhile. The manufacturers' system stuff is not exactly cheap, and the wiring work also needs to be done.

Alternative: We had Somfy io radio motors installed everywhere so that we wouldn't have to deal with the control details during construction with a wired solution. The motors cost a bit more, but it was within budget, and we recouped it in electrical costs since we bought the radio switches ourselves. All the io switches, central unit (connexoon), wind sensors are available cheaply online, especially at online auctions.
