Hello,
attached is a picture of our supply and exhaust air vents of the controlled residential ventilation system on the roof.

The roof pitch is 22 degrees (hip roof).
This fitting is from a well-known company starting with the letter H*****.
Since this is a universal fitting to fit different roof pitches, it is not precisely cut for a specific roof.
In the picture, you can see that the aluminum protrudes at the bottom.
The product description is: roof hood with pipe and roof tile with lead edge, DN125.
Now, a first thought was to paint this black as well so that it is not too conspicuous. (I currently don’t like this detail yet).
That at least solves the problem of the two-tone color. Nevertheless, it protrudes very far out of the roof.
The optimal height (how far it should protrude from the roof) would be, as seen in the picture, only the black hood (without the aluminum part at the bottom).
My question to you or the professionals: Is there perhaps a better fitting for the aforementioned roof: black color, not protruding so far?
Feel free to contact me via private message.
I would be very grateful for any tips.
Regards,
