Construction supervisor (expert) despite TÜV Nord

Hello everyone,

we are in the process of building a house. The contract stipulates that TÜV Nord supervises. Should one still hire a building surveyor who monitors the construction phases?

Good morning, presumably the TÜV will come twice, right? We also have that in the contract and still we are taking an expert. Because the TÜV guy can't see a lot anymore.

Who pays the TÜV inspector? The construction contractor, right? So, on which side will the TÜV inspector stand in case of doubt?

I would google based on the experiences of other builders regarding [TÜV Nord]. I don't know how qualified they are... with other [TÜV]s there is a 9-phase construction monitoring. [TÜV Nord] used to be - I believe - the [Dekra], whether I would trust them...

I would at least have someone knowledgeable about the subject at my side who also keeps an eye on things. I am currently building myself and have found that especially with the foundation slab and shell construction as well as heating, the assessment of a professional is valuable for evaluating trades. Small tip... on a well-known platform for finding craftsmen, you can also find someone for a small budget.
