No, not out in the sticks. I did write: "desired infrastructure on site" - that excludes the sticks. There are plenty of building plots available.

Do you know any alternatives? Then go ahead.....

I don't know what you are looking for.

10 min to the A7, 15 min to the A71
40 min to Fulda, 40 min to Schweinfurt, 60 min to Würzburg
within 20 minutes, 4 small towns are reachable with hardware stores, cinema, other supermarkets, spas, etc.

no real public transportation, no train connection

In the town itself
dentists, general practitioners, banks, pharmacies, speech therapy practice, physiotherapists, butcher, baker, 2 supermarkets, gas station
hairdresser, beautician, library, optician, gym, kindergarten with nursery and after-school care, elementary and secondary school, nursing home, sports club with a wide range of activities, broadband internet

very low burglary rate, very little violence

Assume in the Rhön? Where exactly? And are building plots available? Town center within walking distance?

You have a PM,
There are still remaining building plots.
1. The first new development area is currently being developed, I wouldn't choose it as it is a district.
2. The second new development area has just been approved.

I'll tell you. SH. Wide land, blue sky, lots of sea, little infrastructure and not much structure otherwise, but many good sea shipping routes, really, no one else has more, certainly not the show-off Baden-Württembergers who supposedly can do everything except speak standard German, Kiel is the capital, which says something, that's all we have, but that's no big deal, we lock up the celebrities in Timmendorf and on Sylt, so we have peace otherwise, we're all like Stegner, Kubicki or Harbeck, all women blond, all men blue....eyed, beer is rare, schnapps gladly, what else can the world offer you! Tell me! Karsten

And the location criterion "far away from Rhineland-Palatinate" would also be met in Schleswig-Holstein ;-)
