we also have an appointment with the city the day after tomorrow, which among other things concerns the fact that the street runs partially (about 1m wide over a length of 10-15m) on our property and we would now like to have a boundary (curb edge) from the street to the property due to the new construction.

This requires that a part of the asphalt be cut off and an edge be installed. The old house (from the previous owner) had no curb edge and asphalt right up to the front door.
