Construction Performance Insurance - Do You Need It?

I am currently in the process of comparing insurances for the construction phase.
The [Bauleistungsversicherung] always comes up.
How important is it? Since it also affects the price.

We have now taken out builders' liability insurance, construction all-risk insurance, and residential building insurance.

Since we had bought the plot some time before construction started, we also took out a homeowners' and landowners' liability insurance for a one-time fee of about €40.

The construction all-risk insurance cost us a one-time fee of €410.
Builders' liability insurance one-time about €100 and the residential building insurance will cost us about €350/year from the move-in date (including natural hazard coverage).

Luckily, we don't need that... Until the handover of the house, everything is the responsibility of the company.. If in the end it is not what we ordered, it will not be paid for..

If nearly 400 € actually affects you, you might want to reconsider building. There are much bigger blows to come.

Insurance is irrelevant until you need it. Ours also covered theft from the construction site. And since pallets of materials kept standing in the garden repeatedly, that was probably a good investment.

Our house is also directly on the street. At which company did you take out the insurance with theft coverage?
