What I still don't understand is whether anything has already been done on the house? Earthworks or foundation slab? Basically, it's your problem that you sold the other house. The BU can't be responsible for that. You only sell when it's foreseeable when the house will be finished. Ask the buyer if he would be willing to rent the house to you. Otherwise, involve someone neutral who can organize the whole thing here. We have an additional factor with Corona. Whether changing the BU is worthwhile now? I don't think what hurts you (time) is worth it.

Earthworks have already been done, and the structural engineer has installed the house connections.

We have already spoken with the new owners. They can only do one month; they have already sold their own apartment for the date with the same realtor.

What bothers me is that the construction manager told us in February to make up for lost time. The house would be finished in 5 months already. And the structural engineer said that the complete shell would be finished by the end of April. And now everything is at a standstill because of a minor issue. That annoys us a lot; of course, nothing can be changed about the situation now anyway.

Promised five months of construction time in February, when no earthworks had taken place yet? You fall gullibly for every lie. As you can see, the independent expert / consultant is becoming increasingly important to limit your expectations. No matter what they promise you, no time will be made up at all. I am sure they will stretch their deadlines to the very last day. Legally and without consequences. Maybe a delay in the construction period is already foreseeable, I don't know. What is the penalty for exceeding the construction period?

Yes, and then Corona and these minor issues added up and that was it ... I don't want to stress you or imply anything. But you urgently need a partner/mentor who speaks with the craftsmen on an equal footing.
