Hello everyone,

we received an offer for our network connection (electricity) a week ago. In total, this is supposed to cost around €6500. To be honest, we were shocked because we had expected about €2500. The offer includes the following items:

1) Network connection costs for: cable network connection electricity with house connection cable 35 - 50 mm2 house connection box NH00 3 x 50 A; approx. €2000

2) Services for: 1 pc extension of existing pit due to third-party trades, 30 m extension of existing house connection trench due to third-party trades; approx. €1750

3) Service house entry for: 120 m flexible protective conduit not buildable over; approx. €1750

And then of course the VAT, and you end up at about €6500.

Our questions now: Does all of this make sense? Especially with items 2 and 3, I currently can’t make sense of anything.

Thank you very much.

Since we have no knowledge of the local conditions, we can only guess here. So details would indeed be helpful. Where? How? What? etc.

Sorry, where - Konstanz, Baden-Württemberg. The general contractor forwarded my data to Netze BW because they take care of the electricity. Suddenly we then had the offer in the mailbox. Of course, I will also call there and have it explained to me. I just didn’t want to go into the conversation completely unprepared.

That’s what I’m wondering too and can’t explain it to myself. That’s why I hoped someone in the forum could tell me.

30 m trench and 120 m casing pipe is not little. Far from the street? Third-party trades would indicate multiple utilities, i.e. water and telecom in the same trench.

The 30 m trench could be correct, since the house entry point is certainly about 25 m away from the street side. Then it still has to go around the corner a bit, and then you can really end up at 30 m. But what about 120 m conduit? If the trench is 30 m, why then 120 m conduit?
