I think it's quite clever to lay a switch-independent phase at the same time.

I even had to disable our switch for the mirror in the guest bathroom because there is a clock built into the mirror and every time the power goes out, the clock resets to 0:00. :rolleyes:
We also switch the mirror cabinet in the main bathroom externally, but that takes the socket in the mirror cabinet out of operation.
Charging the toothbrush via the socket is then not possible.

You can probably still solve both with a Shelly or something similar afterwards.

It was and still is standard to include an un-switched phase with the mirror. In the past, there were often large mirror cabinets ([Alibert]) with a socket for the shaver, etc. To make sure this works without turning on the light, a constant phase is needed. Today, mirrors often have heating, radio, clock, etc., which also require a constant phase.
