I also made horizontal slots - also in the known installation zones. I didn't feel comfortable with it and of course I documented it. However, only those at the top on the ceiling - I would never do that at the bottom...

But in the majority of the buildings I know, you don’t see horizontal slots - that is often frowned upon because there are problems.

How is a builder supposed to know about a (non-binding) DIN standard with the installation zones?

Honestly, I don't see any problems. Not at the top edge of the finished floor + 15-45cm, because when exactly would you drill a hole there? I couldn't remember when I last fastened anything at that height.. Below the ceiling, more likely, but still unlikely. Since I did it all myself anyway, I know every line by first name

My opinion: Anyone handling a drill should know that. A Google search with "where you are allowed to drill" is enough here.

Yeah, me too - it was just my personal opinion. And I don’t see that everyone immediately fires up Google if you don’t suspect anything there (only thinks vertically).

But I do find your jumble up there on the ceiling a lot - but surely the structural engineer approved it anyway.
