Hello forum,

we are currently planning our house; it will have 1.5 floors without a basement, and we have already thought about the room layout. You can find the corresponding pictures attached. We just wanted to get some opinions from an independent source on whether this is okay or where we can improve something. We have hardly any restrictions from the development plan.

Brief info:
The house will face south, be heated with an air-to-water heat pump, and a photovoltaic system is also planned.

Regards, Roque One

Mmh. Please provide the exact stair dimensions including the floor height. How wide are the doors? The design is not a disaster, but the long narrow hallway creates a feeling of tightness and confinement. Just place the entrance in the north next to the stairs, that relaxes the situation (like in the photo). Of course, the question is whether there is enough space on the property. And you can see again that without a site plan and the remaining questions from the questionnaire in the initial thread, there is no meaningful discussion.

I can only agree with Katja on that ... forum rules ... pinned posts should be read.

Furnish the floor plan with furniture in original dimensions and take into account the traffic routes, e.g. around tables.

Please fill out the questionnaire. I can already say that a platform staircase won't work due to lack of space. The shower is also unusable, just as the hallway downstairs is not exactly inviting. The kitchen has a lot of space but little storage. The living room will be too dark.
