Thank you for your feedback! Waiting longer and hoping that the interest rate will decrease further is probably not effective either. The conditions are already not bad.

a look into the crystal ball... hm :cool:

pure speculation, may or may not happen. At the moment it goes up and down by 0.1-0.2 from time to time. Many large mortgage institutions are even managing the application volume in order to be able to process quickly

One last question...

We currently have 2 building savings contracts (each with a contract amount of 100,000 / savings interest rate 0.5% / loan interest rate 2.8%), each with 20,000 € saved up. I didn't pay any closing fee due to employee conditions.

Do you still see any point in these building savings contracts or should we simply invest the balance as equity in our project? Securing the possible remaining debt with one of these contracts probably doesn't make sense either?!

depends. If you come down with the interest rate by using the equity & keep the installment the same (with higher repayment in the annuity) then it makes
