Color the bathroom with tiles or special wet area wall paint?

Hello everyone,

actually, we wanted to cover two of our bathroom walls from floor to ceiling with pastel-colored tiles (the T-wall lighter and the broader wall behind it a bit darker). The other walls (except the area around the sink) should not be tiled and remain normally white.

Now I wanted to take a look at what wall paints are available that are suitable for wet areas. How easy to care for are they? Can you also use a shower squeegee to wipe them off after showering? Should you even do that always? Do you have to repaint them after 5-10 years because they become diffusion-open over the years?

How do the colors for wet areas look in terms of price?

Here is a rough floor plan:

Can you advise against such wet-area paints or share good experiences? Is it an inexpensive alternative to tiles?

Thank you very much

Tile or paint is a matter of taste. With tiles, you simply have many more possibilities. As for the paint itself, except that it protects the wall just as well as tiles, I cannot say anything else.

You have every possibility when it comes to color as well.
Fa. Dold, for example, makes such systems. You can peel it off just like a tile... or just google "fugenloses Bad".

Color-wise yes, structurally no.

Also regarding the structure. From completely smooth to relief. Just a question of technique. The final protection is usually provided by a lacquer (from high gloss to matte).
