Please note: For automatic irrigation of lawns, a cistern for pressure boosting is usually required. Pressure from the mains is generally not sufficient for pop-up sprinklers!

In the neighboring district, yes. Not 500 liters of precipitation per year Here there has been no precipitation for 16 years. 2019 was even quite good, only the temperatures were high. And 40 km further everything is dry.

I cannot confirm that. The pumps at the waterworks produce about eight bar, and more than four bar still reach me. So I’ve never had problems with pop-up sprinklers. Although I never had ten in one circuit, rather about four, they always came up properly.
My current drip hoses are pressure-compensated anyway; they already work properly at very low pressure. Moreover, I always connect them from both sides because they are quite long.

Steffen probably meant the water volume. This is actually very limited from the tap. The pressure is usually not a problem. Sprinklers mostly operate at <3bar

Oh, now I understand. The issue with the amount of water is indeed something you have to pay attention to. But you can find out quite easily by timing how long it takes to fill a 10-liter bucket from the tap. Then you compare that to the flow rate of the nozzles built into the pop-up sprinklers, as there are always several included. That way, you know if it’s sufficient. For me, four sprinklers per zone were no problem; eight would definitely have been too many.

General statements about the number of sprinklers cannot be made. This depends on the sprinklers, piping, water source, etc. There are already some irrigation threads here in the forum. I am happy to assist again with detailed questions.
