Close the opening for the water pipe between floors

Hello everyone,

insulation will soon be installed in our house, before the screed. There is currently still a hole for a water pipe, see picture below.
Should the hole be closed before the insulation, with what material, or how?
This concerns the floor (concrete slab) between the ground floor and the basement.

Yes, the photo is rotated 90 degrees. The white part is the wall.

I just put foam sealant in there.

Is foam sealant airtight and thermally insulating? Does that matter?

Airtight definitely not, thermal insulating definitely a little. Although both probably don't matter. The advantage if the hole is not properly sealed: You quickly notice when water is standing on the raw ceiling at that spot ;)

Uhh... construction or PU foam has excellent insulation values. Like any material that contains many small air bubbles or chambers.
