Friends of ours built with Viebrockhaus. They are super satisfied. Also near HN. We also had Viebrockhaus in the selection, but if you go beyond the standard, it gets expensive. Also, we did not find the consultation of the contact person in Wüstenrot particularly great.
Positive on our list were still:
- Müller Planbau: Neighbors of ours are very satisfied. Both we and friends of ours had positive impressions.
- Böpple: several friends were super satisfied here. It was alongside KHB in our “final,” but ended up being more expensive. Super great consultation.
- KB from Öhringen: good consultation, but there was always a bad gut feeling somewhere.
- Wunsch Haus Bad Friedrichshall: good consultation (the contact person has since moved to another architecture firm), but the construction service description was not yet fully negotiated.
- Vogt Wohnbau Erlenbach: somewhat informal but still good.
I would definitely not mention Das Massive in Heilbronn again. The construction service description was neither fair nor honest here. The feeling remained that the more questions you ask, the more gaps you find.
What ultimately led us to KHB: good experiences from friends, honest impression in the negotiation (which was confirmed), good idea of healthy building, somewhat flexibility in planning. Looking back: the decision was good. Nothing went seriously wrong. Besides us, two other families also built with KHB. Price-wise, no one was completely outrageous. When you align the construction service descriptions by asking questions, the differences relativized. KHB was tendentially rather one of the more expensive ones. In the end, however (we also spent a lot of time on the additional agreement to the contract), there were no nasty price surprises. Reimbursements and change orders were fair and the change orders totaled maybe around 5k euros. I had two or three “onsite learnings.” But nothing that led to massive price jumps.
Fermo is top. But here you really need the necessary money. It was beyond any budget of ours.
