Hello,
I have a straight wall (W:5m, H:1m) made of square planting stones in the garden.
Visually, that does not look very nice. Therefore, I am currently thinking about how to make the wall look better. I have considered either plastering the wall with lime cement and painting it with latex paint or cladding it with facing bricks. Or is there something better (I know, that is always relative)?

What would you suggest? I am grateful for suggestions.

Hello Felix, is the wall backfilled? If so, is it also sealed behind it? Otherwise, it may be that you quickly get water behind your facing bricks / plaster and everything will flake off again in winter. You should consider that.

An acquaintance simply built a new wall in front of it. But to me, that would be too much loss of space and too thick.

Are the planting stones connected? If they were simply placed together, there is movement within, so your own suggestions are out, layman's opinion. Gabions or another external cladding made of a different material have already been mentioned, perhaps planting something against it?
