Cistern and soak pit, which pumps?

Hello everyone,

our extension is almost finished and now I still have to take care of a few small things myself.

I could use some tips here.

Due to the extension, we had to relocate and rebuild the cistern.
It was also noticed that water was constantly flowing into the excavation pit, even though it hadn’t rained for weeks.
For this reason, a pump sump/infiltration pit was installed 4-5 meters next to the cistern.

The plan is as follows.

The drainage and incoming water flow into the infiltration pit.
This water must be pumped into the cistern, and the overflow there is connected to the street.

According to the city rules, it is not allowed to pump directly into the street, but it is permitted via the cistern.

We have now laid 1" inch PE pipe from the cistern to the garden.
There, the water is supposed to be used to irrigate the swimming pool and the garden.

This means two pumps are required.

The pump in the infiltration pit should constantly pump out water when the level rises, and the one in the cistern should maintain constant pressure on the water line to the garden.

Which pumps would be recommended for this?
And I would like to work without float switches, but with installed level sensors that can also alert me in case of a malfunction if the pump in the infiltration pit does not work.

Thanks for your input

Water has no place in the swimming pool.
For irrigation, it depends on how large your sprinkler zones are and how big the property is.
A 1" pipe is rather too small. Here you have high pressure and volume flow losses.
If it should be inexpensive, a deep well pump from Tipp. 5 bar upwards and 6000l/h or more.

We only have one connection for the garden that is connected to the pipe. And why should the water have no place in it? Rainwater and groundwater flow in there and are pumped from there into the cistern. The cistern water then flows into the garden.

The pool should contain cleaned and disinfected water. The pH value should also be correct.
From the cistern, you always have suspended solids and contaminants.
Groundwater is mostly quite rich in iron. This causes precipitations and brown spots...
You are not the first one to come up with such an idea ;)
Why do you think I don’t use water from my 76,000l cistern for the pool?
How do you disinfect the pool? Liquid chlorine, tablets, bromine...?
Hopefully the filtration system is properly designed. Otherwise, in summer you will hear cries for help that the pool is turning green.
The specifications given by manufacturers of inexpensive pumps and filters are not accurate, or the filter bed is too small. Even with 24-hour filtration.
Always nice to see this with above-ground pools. In addition, tablets are used for disinfection there, which produce degradation products that can only be removed through sufficient water changes.
Your rinse water from the pool can be used in the garden. It is "enriched" with nutrients.
Tell me about your pool, filtration system, etc.

The pool has been filled with cistern water for over 10 years.
There are absolutely no problems with chlorine tablets here.

But that doesn’t matter here either, because that is off-topic.

Take a look at the Tipp pumps. Good value for money. Especially for irrigation, as they provide sufficient pressure and flow rate. They are also resistant to dirt. They are also available without pump control and float switch so that you can control them externally. Let me guess, you check the pool values with test strips? Just because it has been done for a long time doesn’t mean it’s correct. But if you don’t have any problems, then let it be.
