Check the builder's invoice?

we are currently in the middle of building our house and are awarding all trades ourselves.

At the moment, the plasterers are already at work, so progress is going well.

The majority of the shell construction invoice has also already been paid.

Now my question is: How can I properly check the invoice or be sure that what was charged is justified? Are there experts for this, or can I turn to someone else?

I think it’s probably fine. I just don’t want us to pay too much unjustifiably since we are complete laymen.

Don’t you have an architect, construction supervisor, or similar?

We have architects.. But they only made the plan and that’s it! We are our own construction supervisors!

Turn on your brain with basic geometric knowledge and measure and calculate.

Alternatively, the architect with the appropriate [LP] would have been the right contact person. An expert will certainly not be cheaper.
