you can close this here, after consulting with our bank advisor we will not pursue this specific cost estimate further and will now look at a new construction project as an alternative.

For clarification, in case anyone is interested: The €350,000 costs would, according to the bank's valuation, only increase the value of the house by approximately €200,000. Therefore, we are now considering financially more attractive alternatives...

Honestly? Given the current market, I would have set a minimum of 2/3, so 233k - 250k. Might be naive, but for the 150,000€ we would invest without increasing the value, an old granny would have to knit for a long time...

Thanks for the recommendation, but the access points don’t need LAN, they are in the mesh and thus form a unified network... Connecting the access points via LAN is possible, but without advantage. The bottleneck in our house is the 70MBit DSL connection, not the data rate between access point and router.

As a gamer, I would be worried about the ping right away. For most people, though, probably not that relevant...
