Change to the approved plan: Is a new approval necessary?

we are building in Bavaria, there is no development plan. We already have the building permit.
Several craftsmen have already told us that the roof above our bay window is poorly planned. The plan shows that it is somewhat flatter than the house roof and ends at the same height (I hope my description is somewhat understandable). Now we are considering running the roof with the unchanged roof pitch over the bay window.
Do we have to go through the approval process again with the same timelines at the municipality and district office for such a change?
