Our wooden house has a monolithic wall structure.

I wrote that in colloquial language. ;)

A monolithic wall structure contains, among other things, the word lithic. I once had a language professor explain to me that it means "made of stone."

Thus, according to my understanding, the construction of a wooden house would be either mono- or multilayered.

I like to learn. Therefore, you might explain it from your point of view. :)

I admit that your explanation is closer to the root of the word. My understanding of the word is rather that there is only one material, regardless of which. Perhaps [monolignum] would be more correct.

That would be very fitting. :)

Good evening,

"Lithic" actually means "made of stone"; mono: "alone" and "unique." In contrast, "monolithic" means seamless and from a single cast.

Conclusion: Advertising is patient ;-)

Can we maybe agree on "Monosteinig" or "Monoholzig"? That would prevent future misunderstandings :D

And to make sure the other one sounds good too, it's just the hybrid construction method :)
