A central ventilation system of course has some advantages but also some disadvantages. I have looked into it once.

The advantage is, of course, the pleasant indoor climate. Also, the same temperatures are comfortable, from the basement to the attic. There is also good sound insulation, which is especially important for houses on the street.

The disadvantage, in my opinion, is the rather high initial costs. A professional must regularly carry out the maintenance. This incurs additional costs.

What Luca writes can only be confirmed. The investment costs are simply too high here. I also find ventilation from the ceiling better than from the floor. This air is usually a bit colder and therefore sinks down.

I have now also seen such a ventilation in the floor. However, I no longer know the company. For me, it takes some getting used to and I cannot come to terms with it. Especially since the costs are also too high. So I prefer our ventilation.
