I need to bring up the topic again: The offer was made in October. Construction start end of March/ beginning of April. Now the problem is that the dealer no longer has the cladding in stock and we can't manage with the stones still available. If we don't manage to obtain the stone through indirect means, I need to consider alternatives. The carpenter suggested fiber cement panels from e.g. James Hardie. According to a friend, these panels are quite prone to impact damage. Does anyone have experience with these panels and can possibly dispel my concerns?

If it is also out of stock at the manufacturer and will no longer be reissued, other dealers should be all the more happy to get rid of remaining stock. Otherwise, if I remember correctly, you are only able to want a matching look with the house to which there is no direct connection (which makes it a bit easier to take the desired color tone in a different format).

A similar clinker is out of the question, that would bother us. Therefore, we want to proactively look into alternatives. Wood is out of the question for my girlfriend.

Hence the question about experience with fiber cement panels. I do have samples at home, but everyday experience is more indicative.

Fiber cement panels are available in the color of our windows and these are not fake slats, rather they are indeed also available in 4 meter length

Oh, so these are not alternatives aiming to resemble the house's clinker brick, but only aiming to spare the ensemble a third color (?)
